Job summary

ConocoPhillips is seeking an experienced engineer to design and plan deepwater well completions in offshore environments. You will integrate across subsurface, drilling, subsea, production and integrity disciplines to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective production.

You will lead completion design, sand-control strategies and risk assessments while coordinating with service providers and regulators to ensure project success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum or related engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Design basis of design and completion philosophy.
  • Develop sand-control solutions and screen sizing.
  • Design upper and lower completions with tubing, packers and downhole equipment.
  • Perform completion analyses: tubing stress, hydraulics, torque-and-drag.
  • Develop well unloading, production startup and intervention strategies.
  • Ensure compatibility among completion, subsea tree, wellhead and controls.
  • Prepare installation procedures and risk assessments.
  • Lead technical reviews, DWOPs/CWOPs and readiness reviews.
  • Coordinate with service companies and ensure HSE compliance.
  • Track NPT and completion performance; prepare end-of-well reports.
  • Provide real-time engineering support during offshore operations.
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices.
