Job summary

MFG Technology Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Deep Drawing Die Technician to perform setup, installation and adjustment of deep drawing dies in line with production requirements and technical specs.

You will carry out routine maintenance, inspections and repairs, troubleshoot die-related defects, conduct die try-outs and fine-tuning, and read engineering drawings to ensure consistent product quality and efficient tooling. Travel to China for training may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of working experience as a Deep Drawing Die Technician, Die Technician, Tooling Technician, Stamping Technician or related position.
• Able to perform die setup, adjustment, maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Able to read and understand engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of measuring instruments such as vernier caliper and micrometer.
• Basic knowledge of machining, fitting, grinding, milling or EDM is an advantage.
• Willing travel to China for training when required by the company.

Responsibilities

• Perform setup, installation and adjustment of deep drawing dies according to production requirements and technical specifications.

• Troubleshoot and resolve die-related problems and production defects, such as cracking, wrinkling, denting and dimensional variation.
• Conduct die try-out, adjustment and fine-tuning to ensure consistent product quality and stable production.
• Perform die modification and improvement to improve tooling performance, product quality and production efficiency.
• Inspect die components for wear, damage, misalignment and abnormal conditions, and replace or repair components when necessary.
• Work closely with Production and Quality teams to identify tooling issues and implement corrective actions.
• Read and understand engineering drawings, die drawings and technical specifications for proper tooling setup and adjustment.
• Maintain accurate records of die maintenance, repair, modification and troubleshooting activities.
• Ensure all tooling activities comply with company safety procedures, quality standards and production requirements.
