AFFIN Group is seeking an experienced Treasury trader to manage proprietary FX, FX Options, and cross markets trading, aiming to maximize profitability and manage risk. The role includes pricing, hedging, and market-making for internal and external customers, with close collaboration to Sales and other strategic business units.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in FX trading, strong analytical skills, and familiarity with Bloomberg and Reuters platforms.

Qualifikationen

• Degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Certification from local financial market association is required.
• Minimum of 5 years dealing experience in FX and/or FX Options Trading.

Aufgaben

• Run proprietary FX, FX Options, rates, derivatives and cross markets trading to generate profits.
• Trade FX Swaps, foreign bonds and ACU arbitrage across major and emerging currencies.
• Manage FX Metro book to quote competitive pricing to internal and external customers.
• Assist Sales Team in marketing and market-making to improve liquidity and relationships.
• Provide competitive pricing and hedges to divisions and SBUs.
• Maintain professional service and competitive pricing for customers and partners.
• Keep management informed of market developments and key issues affecting Treasury.
• Support budgeting and planning as needed by Division Heads.
• Ensure compliance with Bank Negara Malaysia policies and Dealers Code of Ethics.

Job Purpose

Primary responsibility is running the desk's proprietary FX, rates, derivatives and cross markets trading portfolio to increase Treasury’s profitability. Desk mandate includes the trading of FX Option for hedging, arbitrage and risk taking.

Secondary responsibility is the management FX Metro book to quote competitive pricing to internal and external customers.

Accountabilities

• To run proprietary FX, FX Options, rates, derivatives and cross markets trading to generate profits. To trade in FX Swaps, foreign bonds and ACU arbitrage activities in major and emerging currencies.
• To manage FX Metro book to quote competitive pricing to internal and external customers. To monitor and manage Banks’s FX exposure and ensure sufficient funding for non-swap currencies to avoid overdrawn accounts.
• To assist Sales Team in marketing and market -making to improve market liquidity and maintain good rapport with clients. To assist Sales Team in building and retaining relationship with customers by providing competitive pricing and market commentaries.
• To provide competitive pricing and hedges to Division and other Strategic Business Units.
• Ensure internal and external customers are served professionally and quoted competitive pricing at all time.
• To maintain good rapport with agent banks and other strategic partners to ensure limits and tenor are sufficient as well as to support funding requirements.
• Keep abreast of market development and update line manager(s) on key issues which may affect Treasury business areas.
• To assist the Head of Division, Head of Department preparing the financial budget and action planning. To ensure other duties/responsibilities assigned by the Head of Division/Head of Department are completed on time.
• Ensure compliance to BNM, Bank’s policies and Dealers Code of Ethics in carrying out the daily operations.

Qualifications and Experience

A Degree (preferably in Accounting, Business Administration, Banking & Finance, Economics or Mathematics) Certificate/License from Persatuan Pasaran Kewangan Malaysia. At least 5 years dealing experience in FX and/or FX Options Trading.

Skills and Knowledge
