Job summary

HFM is seeking a driven Database Developer Engineer to join our team in Malaysia. You will troubleshoot, analyze, and optimize SQL and NoSQL queries across MariaDB, Postgres, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Redis, and InfluxDB, collaborating with developers to meet diverse data needs.

You will identify performance bottlenecks, implement effective solutions, and develop documentation on query tuning and DB design, while keeping up with DBMS trends and participating in on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years as a database developer, database administrator, or similar role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases and languages.
• Ability to guide software engineers in optimizing database performance through query structuring.
• Experience with MariaDB, Postgres, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Redis, and InfluxDB.
• Knowledge of Python and .NET.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to work effectively with different teams.
