Job summary

TechTiera is seeking a Database Automation Engineer to automate database infrastructure across On-Premise and Cloud environments. You will design, implement, and maintain automation solutions for Oracle, MS-SQL, and PostgreSQL, leveraging Ansible, Terraform, and CI/CD tooling.

The role requires 5+ years in IT/Infrastructure, strong scripting skills, and hands-on cloud experience with Azure or Google Cloud. You'll collaborate with multiple teams and ensure secure, compliant deployments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional IT/Infrastructure experience.
• Strong Python, Bash or PowerShell scripting.
• Strong hands-on experience with Ansible and Terraform.
• Strong CI/CD experience.
• Experience with APIs and API programming.
• Experience with Linux or Windows administration.
• Knowledge of Oracle / MS-SQL / PostgreSQL environments.
• Experience with Azure or Google Cloud.
• Good understanding of IT security, networking and cloud security.
• Understanding of SDLC, version control and release management.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions for Oracle, MS-SQL and PostgreSQL database infrastructure.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Ansible and Terraform.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, TeamCity, Jenkins or similar tools.
• Develop automation scripts using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Integrate database infrastructure with backup, monitoring, Active Directory, CMDB and other services.
• Work with Azure / Google Cloud platforms and their APIs.
• Troubleshoot automation pipelines and infrastructure issues.
• Implement Infrastructure-as-Code and ensure consistent, secure deployments.
• Maintain documentation and follow security, compliance and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with database, infrastructure, and operations teams.
