Job summary

eDaran is seeking an experienced IT/DBA professional to join our team in Malaysia. The ideal candidate will have at least a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or IT and 3+ years of related experience, with senior-level capabilities in IT/DBA domains.

You will build and maintain high-availability databases, design structures to meet end-user needs, and ensure data security, privacy, and integrity across systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Computer Science/IT or equivalent.
• 3+ years of working experience in IT/DBA related field.

Responsibilities

• Build database systems of high availability and quality for end users.
• Design and implement databases according to end users' needs and views.
• Define users and enable data distribution to the right user in proper format and timing.
• Use high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup data.
• Minimise downtime and optimize query responses.
• Provide data management support and training to users.
• Establish and document database policies, procedures and standards.
• Perform tests to ensure data security, privacy and integrity.
• Monitor performance and apply patches/versions when required.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Familiarity with database design, documentation and coding.

Familiarity with programming languages and Application Programming Interface (API).

Problem solving skills and ability to think algorithmically.

• Perform any other related task as assigned by the company.
