Job summary

Accenture Malaysia is seeking a Senior Oracle Database Administrator to design, optimize, and support enterprise-scale Oracle environments powering critical applications. You will lead performance tuning, security controls, and disaster recovery, while mentoring junior staff and collaborating with cross-functional teams on strategic database initiatives.

The role requires deep expertise in Oracle RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, and OEM, along with strong production support and incident management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Oracle Database Administration, database engineering, or related enterprise technology environments.
• Advanced proficiency in Oracle Database Administration, including performance tuning, backup and recovery, database security, and troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting large-scale production environments and mission-critical applications.
• Strong understanding of database architecture, data management principles, and system integration concepts.
• Proven experience in production release management, deployment support, and incident resolution.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, ASM, RMAN, and Oracle Enterprise Manager.
• Experience working within complex enterprise application ecosystems and hybrid infrastructure environments.
• Knowledge of database automation, scripting, and operational monitoring tools.
• Experience supporting cloud-based database platforms and modernization initiatives.
• Ability to mentor junior database administrators and provide technical guidance across teams.
• Experience contributing to technical documentation, governance standards, and operational excellence programs.

About the Role
