Job summary

Private Advertiser in Malaysia is seeking a Database Administrator to maintain and troubleshoot Oracle, MySQL, and MSSQL databases. You will support installation, patching, DR replication, and security for both standalone and clustered environments.

You will work with Infra teams to design enterprise database solutions, participate in DR planning, and prepare technical specs and RCA documentation. A bachelor's degree in IT or CS and at least five years of database experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of working experience in database (Oracle & MySQL, MSSQL).
• Experience with DR/HA, patch management, and security for databases.

Responsibilities

Job description

Support in area installation, maintenance and troubleshoot for database (Oracle & MySQL, MSSQL). Ensure smooth and proper running of databases for systems including standalone, cluster HA/DR database and DR replication.

Key responsibilities

Support in area installation, maintenance and troubleshoot for database (Oracle & MySQL, MSSQL)

Ensure smooth and proper running of databases for systems including standalone, cluster HA/DR database and DR replication

Assist in planning and implement firmware/software patch for database

Assist in planning and implement system security of database

Assist Manager (Backup & Database), Lead (IaaS) and co-work with Unit ECS-Infra & Solution in planning, designing and implementing enterprise systems related to area database

Participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) activities to ensure availability of systems in area of database (standalone/cluster/replication)

Prepare and evaluate technical specification for contract management and tender documents related to database

Continually improve processes and services related to database (Oracle & MySQL, MSSQL), to meet ever changing business environment and customers need

Perform and construct the process and the document of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for service interruption on systems related to area database (Oracle & MySQL, MSSQL)

About you
