Job summary

Sunway Fintech is seeking a Data Partnerships Lead to develop relationships with external data partners and to support data acquisition and integration for credit scoring, risk assessment, and business objectives. You will collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and IT to ensure data quality, security, and timely delivery.

Ideal candidates have 3–8 years in fintech or related fields, strong SQL/API skills, and familiarity with PDPA and data governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a reputable university.
• 3-8 years of relevant experience, preferably in fintech, financial services, e‑commerce or advertising.
• Experience in credit scoring, data acquisition or data management is an advantage.
• Familiarity with Malaysian data privacy laws (e.g., PDPA) is beneficial.
• Working knowledge of data management tools and platforms (SQL, APIs).

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage relationships with external data partners to source data for credit scoring and risk assessment.
• Lead data acquisition roadmap and ensure secure, quality data integration.
• Oversee end‑to‑end data fulfilment to stakeholders with timeliness and accuracy.

Job Purpose:

To develop and maintain relationships with external data partners, support data acquisition and integration, and ensure the quality, and timely delivery of reliable data to support credit scoring, risk assessment, and business objectives.

Job Responsibilities:

• Data Partnership Development & Management: Identify, negotiate, and manage relationships with data providers (e.g., financial institutions, telcos, utilities, fintech companies etc) to source relevant data for credit scoring and risk assessment.
• Data Acquisition & Integration: Develop and execute the data acquisition roadmap, ensuring seamless integration of datasets while maintaining data quality and security standards.
• Data Fulfilment: Oversee the end-to-end data fulfilment process to ensure timely, accurate, and consistent data delivery to internal and external stakeholders.
• Data Quality & Governance: Monitor and maintain data quality through regular validation checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with credit scoring model requirements.
• Stakeholders Collaboration: Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and IT to ensure data is structured, accessible, and analytics-ready.
• Any other ad hoc task as assigned from time to time.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Possess a Bachelor’s Degree from any reputable university;
• Minimum 3-8 years of related working experience, ideally in fintech, financial services, e-commerce or advertising industry.
• Candidates with experience in credit scoring industry, data acquisition and/or data management will be prioritized;
• Familiarity with Malaysian regulatory frameworks (e.g., PDPA, Bank Negara Malaysia) and data privacy laws will be an added advantage;
• Working knowledge of data management tools and platforms (e.g., SQL, data integration platforms, APIs); and
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
