Job summary

Sunway Fintech Services in Malaysia is seeking a data partnerships professional to develop and maintain relationships with external data partners, support data acquisition and integration, and ensure timely delivery of reliable data to support credit scoring, risk assessment, and business objectives.

You will collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and IT to ensure data is structured and analytics-ready, with familiarity of PDPA and Bank Negara Malaysia regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a reputable university.
• 3–8 years of related working experience, ideally in fintech, financial services, e‑commerce or advertising.
• Experience in credit scoring industry, data acquisition and/or data management.
• Familiarity with Malaysian regulatory frameworks (e.g., PDPA, Bank Negara Malaysia) and data privacy laws.
• Working knowledge of data management tools and platforms (e.g., SQL, data integration platforms, APIs).
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities

Identify, negotiate, and manage relationships with data providers (e.g., financial institutions, telcos, utilities, fintech companies etc) to source relevant data for credit scoring and risk assessment

Develop and execute the data acquisition roadmap, ensuring seamless integration of datasets while maintaining data quality and security standards

Oversee the end-to-end data fulfilment process to ensure timely, accurate, and consistent data delivery to internal and external stakeholders

Monitor and maintain data quality through regular validation checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with credit scoring model requirements

Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and IT to ensure data is structured, accessible, and analytics-ready

About you

Bachelor's Degree from a reputable university

Minimum 3-8 years of related working experience, ideally in fintech, financial services, e-commerce or advertising industry

Experience in credit scoring industry, data acquisition and/or data management

Familiarity with Malaysian regulatory frameworks (e.g., PDPA, Bank Negara Malaysia) and data privacy laws

Working knowledge of data management tools and platforms (e.g., SQL, data integration platforms, APIs)

Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
