Job summary

Oxydata Software Sdn Bhd, a leading client in digital and aviation-focused data initiatives, seeks a Data Engineer to build, maintain, and optimise scalable data pipelines that support enterprise data, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives.

You will develop ETL/ELT workflows from multiple data sources, ensure data integrity, work with cloud-based services (GCP), Airflow, and Kubernetes, and collaborate with Product, Business, and Analytics teams to deliver data solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's/PhD in IT, Mathematics, Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 2–4 years hands-on experience in Data Engineering.
• Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong experience in ETL/ELT development.
• Proficient in Python.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow.
• Exposure to Kubernetes.
• Experience using GitLab and/or GitHub for source code management.
• Strong knowledge of SQL.
• Familiarity with data pipeline and workflow management tools.
• Good understanding of data quality, data integrity, and data transformation.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimise scalable data pipelines.
• Build and support ETL/ELT workflows from multiple data sources.
• Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and quality across pipelines and datasets.
• Work with cloud-based data services, particularly within the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ecosystem.
• Develop and schedule workflows using Apache Airflow.
• Support containerised deployments and orchestration using Kubernetes.
• Maintain source code and version control using GitLab or GitHub.
• Write, optimise, and troubleshoot SQL queries.
• Collaborate with Product, Business, and Analytics stakeholders to deliver data solutions.
• Support data migration, data warehousing, and transformation initiatives.
• Assist with API development and CI/CD pipeline activities where required.
• Maintain technical documentation, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
