Job summary

AirAsia is seeking a Data Engineer to ensure data quality and build robust data pipelines across the organization. You will collaborate with Product, Business and Analytics teams to resolve data transformation challenges and support data-driven decisions.

The role requires experience with SQL/NoSQL databases, ETL, and distributed computing, plus familiarity with cloud platforms and containerisation. Join a dynamic Allstars culture and contribute to data-driven growth.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in IT, Mathematics, Science or Engineering with up to 2+ years relevant experience beyond first degree.
• Experience with Python, R, Java, C/C++ or Scala.
• Familiar with data ETL from a wide variety of data sources.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with pipeline and workflow management tools.
• Experience with messaging and stream processing.
• Experience with object-oriented scripting languages.
• Familiar with containerisation and orchestration tools.
• Familiar with cloud services: GCP, AWS or Azure.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the data integrity and quality.
• Develop, maintain and optimize data pipelines.
• Collaborate with Product, Business and Analytic teams on data transformation needs.
