Job summary

6255 UOB Innovation Hub 2 Sdn Bhd is seeking a data engineering professional with 3+ years of experience in data lake/EDW environments. You will work on Data Marts, ETL development, and Hadoop/Spark-based data processing within a financial services context.

The role requires UNIX scripting, SQL, and experience with Informatica PowerCenter. Collaboration with UAT and SIT teams is expected to ensure smooth delivery of data solutions.

Qualifications

Job Description

Job Responsibilities :

• Good understanding and experience in of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC or AGILE)
• Able to understand and deliver the assignment
• Able to work independently and have a keen eye on details.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Technical Skills :

• At least 3 years of Technical Skills: Data Lake, EDW, Data marts, Data Integration, UNIX scripting
• Expertise in Cloudera CDH / CDP components
• Support Development & SIT investigations
• Support in UAT testing - responsible to investigate the issues raised in UAT, and to co-ordinate with users during the UAT phase for all techno-functional queries.
• Expertise in implementing Teradata based EDW and Data mart solution using ETL tool such as (Informatica Power Centre, BDM), GCFR based framework, BTEQ scripts)
• Expertise in implementing Hadoop based Data mart using Spark based framework (Java, Scala, Pyspark)
• Good knowledge and working experience in developing SQL script
• Knowledge and working experience in of Hadoop languages & tools - Spark, Python, R, Pig, Hue, Impala, Hive, Hbase, Informatica would be an advantage
• Good knowledge in developing Spark based ingestion framework (Java, Scala, Pyspark)
• Exposure to financial services data models & data modeling tools and data governance processes would be an advantage
