Job summary

Intel in Malaysia (Penang) is seeking an entry-level Manufacturing Quality and Reliability Engineer to support qualification of high-volume ramps, design inspection and testing plans, and contribute to ongoing quality assessments.

You will work with Intel Foundry, supporting continuous improvement, risk assessments, and adherence to quality standards in an on-site role. Fresh graduates are welcome; 0-1 years experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis and data-driven decision making (machine learning for structured and unstructured data).
• Familiarity with quality standards, inspection and testing methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Qualify manufacturing ramps to high-volume production while ensuring quality and reliability.
• Specify inspection and testing mechanisms to verify compliance with quality standards.
• Conduct audits and quality assessments of materials, processes, and techniques.
• Monitor quality KPIs and identify opportunities for cost, ramp, and volume optimization.
• Drive continuous process improvement and proactive quality programs in factory operations.
• Represent quality in engineering and product development discussions and make reliability recommendations.
• Manage excursions, perform risk assessments, and disposition discrepant materials using data-driven approaches.
• Implement early detection and containment systems for excursions and rapid issue response.
• Address customer-reported manufacturing concerns with engineering solutions.
