Job summary

Oracle Corporation Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Data Centre Technician to act as a technical liaison between technology teams and the Data Centre environment.

You will assist in installation, configuration, testing, and ongoing maintenance of data center equipment. Candidates should have experience in a Data Centre setting, be comfortable with Linux, and participate in on-call rotations while maintaining strong incident triage and communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a Data Centre environment.
• Background in Linux.
• Knowledge of Data Centre Ecosystem (cooling, electrical, networking, and structured cabling).
• Understand internal customer problems and deliver timely technical solutions.
• Work on a rotating shift basis, including on-call.
• Execute basic troubleshooting along with triaging incoming incidents in support of DC operations.
• Participate in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all production server hardware and software.

An Oracle Data Center Technician will be the technical liaison between the technology teams and the Data Centre Environment. You are able to troubleshoot and solve infrastructure issues within a Data Centre environment while working closely with a senior Technician. You are able to install/assist in the installation, configuration, and testing of data centre equipment. You will also be required to perform routine maintenance such as replacing failed components and updating firmware. You will need to understand the support tools used to maintain data center activities and assist with maintaining an accurate parts inventory. Your attention to detail is imperative.
