Job summary

EPS Malaysia in Kulai, Johor, is seeking an experienced Data Centre technician to support 24/7 operations on a 6-month contract.

You will perform hardware break/fix, rack and stack, cabling, and coordinate with internal teams and vendors to resolve escalated incidents.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of data centre experience.
• Strong hardware break/fix skills across servers and storage.
• Solid troubleshooting across servers, storage, networking and software applications.
• Experience in a data centre environment is an advantage.
• Ability to lift and install server equipment up to 20 kg.

Responsibilities

• Support Data Centre operations in a 24/7/365 environment.
• Perform hardware break/fix activities and component replacements (e.g., hard drives, DIMMs, server components).
• Troubleshoot and resolve server, network, storage, and software application issues.
• Monitor, maintain, and support production server hardware and software.
• Assist with server operating system upgrades, patching, and bug fixes.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and basic switch-related problems.
• Replace and configure failed hardware components when required.
• Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to resolve escalated incidents.
• Perform rack, stack, cabling, installation, and decommissioning activities within the Data Centre.
• Participate in on-call support and shift rotation schedules.

Job description

Location: Kulai, Johor
Salary: RM7,500 – RM11,000
Contract: 6 months ( Renewal subject to performance and business needs)
Working Hours: 12-Hour Rotational Shift (Day & Night)

Support Data Centre operations in a 24/7/365 environment.

Requirements

Minimum 3-5 years of DC experience

Experience in Hardware Break/Fix support.

Strong troubleshooting skills in servers, storage, networking, and software applications.

Experience working in a Data Centre environment is an advantage.

Knowledge of Data Centre cabling and infrastructure is preferred.

Able to work 12-hour rotational shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Fit and able to lift, carry, and install server equipment weighing up to 20kg.

Comfortable performing rack-and-stack activities and working within Data Centre facilities.

Able to start work immediately.

Open to a 6-month contract position.
