Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is looking for a Facilities Manager for a data centre located in Kulai, Johor Bahru. This role is responsible for the safe and reliable operation of critical infrastructure, ensuring 24/7 operational availability.

The ideal candidate will hold a degree in engineering and have at least 5 years of relevant experience. Duties include managing systems, compliance, and maintenance of the data centre facilities.

Qualifications

• 5 years or more experience in a similar role within a data centre or critical environment.
• Comfortable working in a 24/7, mission-critical setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operation of data centre facilities.
• Oversee critical systems (power, cooling, UPS, generators, fire systems).
• Plan and manage preventive and reactive maintenance.
• Supervise contractors and service providers.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and outages as required.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Maintain operational logs, reports, and documentation.
• Support 24/7 operational availability of the data centre.
• Provide out-of-hours support for incidents, maintenance, and emergencies.

Skills

Strong knowledge of electrical systems

Strong knowledge of mechanical systems

Education

Degree holder in engineering field
