Qualifications

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• Proven experience as a Data Centre Engineer or similar role handling deployment of enterprise-grade server environments and high-availability facilities.
• Extensive experience with enterprise server operating systems, Group Policy, virtualisation platforms, and Active Directory.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise storage architectures (SAN/NAS), disaster recovery protocols, and centralised backup software.
• Familiarity with public, private, or hybrid cloud infrastructure is a strong plus.
• Professional certification in IT infrastructure or IT security is desirable.
• Self-driven and capable of managing complex, on-site technical deployments independently.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary on-site technical lead for IT infrastructure rollouts, autonomously executing project phases and liaising with remote management.
• Design, build, and deploy high-availability on-premises data centre facilities, including disaster recovery sites.
• Establish and configure private cloud infrastructure with high-availability cluster servers and enterprise virtualised environments.
• Deploy and configure a centralised Directory Service to provide SSO across the private cloud network.
• Design and implement enterprise-grade data backup and recovery solutions using SAN/NAS storage, RAID, and tape libraries.
• Architect continuous data replication between primary and recovery data centres to meet RTO and RPO targets.
• Install and integrate central IT services including enterprise email, file services, and print services.
• Deploy endpoint security, anti-virus solutions, and central patch management across servers and workstations.
• Install EMS to monitor temperature, humidity, and physical security.
• Ensure new infrastructure adheres to cybersecurity framework and assist in manuals development.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and recovery expertise during Testing & Commissioning.

We are looking for a proficient Data Centre Engineer to oversee the design and deployment of data centres for a large-scale infrastructure project. This role involves setting up highly resilient on-premise data centres and building a private cloud solution. As the primary on-site server and storage authority, you will work with a high level of independence to ensure the successful installation and integration of critical operational subsystems.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary on-site technical lead for all IT infrastructure rollouts, operating autonomously to execute project phases and liaise with remote management.
• Design, build, and deploy high-availability on-premises IT data centre facilities, encompassing both primary and disaster recovery sites.
• Establish and configure the private cloud infrastructure, setting up high-availability cluster servers and enterprise virtualised environments.
• Deploy and configure a centralised Directory Service to provide Single Sign-On (SSO) capabilities across the project's private cloud network.
• Design and implement enterprise-grade data backup and recovery solutions, utilizing SAN/NAS storage arrays, disk-based deduplication, RAID configurations, and enterprise tape libraries.
• Architect continuous data replication between the primary and recovery data centres to ensure strict RTO (Recovery Time Objective) and RPO (Recovery Point Objective) targets can be met.
• Install and integrate central IT services, including enterprise email, file services, print services, and secure off-site data depositories.
• Deploy endpoint security, anti-virus solutions, and central patch management tools across all servers and workstations.
• Install and configure dedicated Environmental Monitoring Systems (EMS) to track temperature, humidity, and physical security within the data centres.
• Ensure all new infrastructure adheres to the approved project cybersecurity framework and assist in the development of technical manuals.
• Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and system recovery expertise during the Testing & Commissioning phases.

Qualifications & Requirements
