Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Property Consultants Pte Ltd in Malaysia is seeking a Data Centre Engineer with 5–8 years of engineering or critical environment experience to manage service requests, monitor maintenance work, and ensure contracts meet client needs. You will coordinate with suppliers, uphold HSE standards, and maintain effective work order systems for timely rectifications.

The role requires solid knowledge of electrical and mechanical services within Tier III data centres or equivalent

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of relevant engineering or critical environment experience.
• 3-4 years' experience operating electrical and mechanical services in Tier III data centres or equivalent facilities.
• Competent in undertaking Job Hazards Analysis (JHA).
• Excellent people skills and ability to interact with a wide range of client and vendor staff.

Responsibilities

• Attend and complete service requests and provide coordination/monitoring for maintenance work or projects.
• Operate to Scope of Work/SLA/KPI as defined in Master Agreement.
• Ensure site safety and compliance with HSE standards; work with HSE Executive on site procedures.
• Maintain effective Work Order system for rectification of defective items/services and ensure timely action.
• Assist superior to ensure smooth running of meetings and events at the site.
• Liaise with on-site client representatives to address problems and improve performance.

Job description

Key responsibilities

Attend and complete service requests assigned and provide coordination/monitoring work to related maintenance work or project

Operate to the Scope of Work/SLA's/KPI's as defined in the Master Agreement

Understand the operational and technical requirements of the site and ensure that current contracts are maintained to provide necessary supplies and services

Review and spot-check to ensure that suppliers/service providers are meeting contractual obligations to the client

Ensure that the site is well maintained and correctly furnished/stocked to operate to maximum efficiency

Ensure the site provision of safe working environment and compliance to HSE standards

Work closely with HSE Executive in overall planning, executing and delivering HSE procedures to all activities at site

Ensure that an effective Work Order system is maintained for rectification of any defective items/services and ensure that these are addressed in a timely manner

Assist superior to ensure smooth running of meetings and events at the site

Liaise closely with the client on-site representatives to address problems and/or enhance working environment performance

About you

Certificate/Diploma in a mechanical, electrical or operational engineering discipline

5 - 8 years of relevant experience in engineering or critical environment space

3 - 4 years' experience in the operation of electrical and mechanical services in Tier III or equivalent data centre or critical facility

Competent in undertaking Job Hazards Analysis (JHA)

Excellent people skills and ability to interact with a wide range of client and vendor staff
