Wesco International, Inc. is seeking an on-site Security Operations professional to cover security tasks in client data centers. You will perform foot patrols, incident reporting, and safety escalations while supporting high-priority rack moves and site audits.

This role requires 1+ year in a data center environment, reporting experience, and strong communication skills. Some travel to assigned locations may be needed; weekend/night shifts possible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 1+ year working in a data center environment.
• Experience in security or safety roles and incident response.
• Ability to write reports and document findings clearly.
• Familiarity with security devices such as access readers and cameras.
• Knowledge of incident command structures and tier 1 response.
• Strong safety awareness and data center practices.
• Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams and report requirements.
• Willingness to work weekends, nights, and holidays as needed.
• Excellent communication and trouble-shooting skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide on-site security support in customer data centers.
• Conduct daily site walks and report security hardware issues.
• Inspect critical spaces (data halls, storage, loading docks).
• Serve as first responder for safety incidents with written reports.
• Oversee high-value rack moves and deployments for security.
• Support site safety compliance and document violations.
• Participate in site audits of data center infrastructure.
• Act as primary responder to incidents at the site.
• Contribute to site SOPs and related processes.
• Provide 100% on-site coverage with no remote work.
