Job summary

TECEZE in Malaysia seeks a hands-on Data Center technician to support server and facility operations, asset management, and remote VM provisioning. You will work with minimal supervision, meet tight deadlines, and communicate outcomes clearly.

The role covers server maintenance, hardware replacement, diagnostics, system recovery, network maintenance, and coordination with data center facilities and third-party providers to ensure uptime.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in Data Center operations and facility management.
• Ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
• Comfort communicating outcomes with minimal supervision.
• Fast learner willing to acquire new skills and technologies.
• Mandarin language ability is a plus due to regional coverage.

Responsibilities

• Server Maintenance: mounting and handover acceptance checks; failure drill exercises.
• Hardware Maintenance and Component Replacement: dismantling servers for testing; on-site part replacement; support for out-of-warranty issues.
• Failure Incident Support and Diagnostics: OS-level diagnostics; pre-vendor triage and log preparation.
• System Recovery and Configuration: post-repair system configuration; OS-level repairs; headcount-based and ticket-based data center operations.
• Network Device Maintenance: failure handling; service patrols; coordination with carriers/IDC providers.
• Asset Management: production inventory management; spare parts; storeroom organization; server lists/documentation updates.
• Coordination with Data Center Facility: incident drills; site environment checks; facility change/maintenance coordination.
• Remote Work Support: VM creation/modification; IP provisioning; system access for checks and log collection; remote handover.
• Other On-Site and Coordination Work: on-site tech support; coordination with suppliers; client team coordination; on-duty reports and archiving.
