Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking an MEP Construction Manager for a hyperscale data center project in Port Dickson, Malaysia. You will lead on-site mechanical and electrical construction, ensuring quality, safety and programme compliance from installation through testing and handover.

The role requires strong MEP systems knowledge, leadership and the ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary interfaces on a complex data center project, with site-based work including Saturdays as required by the programme.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in MEP construction management for major building, industrial, infrastructure or mission-critical projects.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and resolve site issues across multidisciplinary interfaces.
• Experience managing MEP contractors and subcontractors on complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day MEP construction activities, managing contractors to deliver safely and to specification.
• Oversee installation and coordination of MV/LV power distribution, cooling, fire protection and related infrastructure.
• Review drawings, submittals and method statements to resolve issues during construction.
• Coordinate interfaces with civil, structural, architectural, ICT and specialist systems.
• Monitor progress, manpower, materials and quality, taking corrective actions when milestones are at risk.
• Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, codes and project quality standards.
• Manage RFIs, NCRs, and site issues, coordinating resolutions with consultants and PMC team.
• Coordinate inspections, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, ensuring readiness for handover.
