Job summary

Deel is seeking a Data Center Lead in Nusajaya, Johor, Malaysia. This on-site role leads a team of Data Center Technicians on rotating shifts, coordinates daily tasks and acts as the first escalation point for technical and operational issues.

You will handle server hardware support, rack and stack, patching, break/fix and incident handling. You will also mentor junior technicians, ensure SOP/MOP/EOP adherence, maintain records, and collaborate with remote teams and vendors to resolve incidents

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in IT or a related field.
• 4–6 years data center or IT infrastructure experience.
• Hands-on experience with server hardware, rack and stack, break/fix.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate Data Center Technicians during shifts.
• Assign daily tasks and ensure SLA compliance.
• Serve as first escalation point for technical issues.
• Support server and network hardware installation and troubleshooting.
• Oversee rack and stack, deployment, replacement and decommissioning.
• Coordinate with remote teams, customers and vendors.
• Maintain accurate records and tickets.
• Coach junior technicians and new team members.
• Ensure SOPs, MOPs and EOPs compliance.
• Work safely according to site requirements and policies.
