Job summary

Vertiv is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer for Senai, Johor, focusing on electrical, mechanical, and UPS aspects of data center cooling systems. You will install, commission, maintain, and troubleshoot CRAC units, chillers, and other thermal management equipment to ensure uptime and energy efficiency.

You will collaborate with clients to optimize cooling performance, document service activities, and adhere to safety and manufacturer guidelines in high‑precision environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, HVAC Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in HVAC field services, with data center experience.
• Hands-on experience with CRAC units, chillers, thermal management systems, and cooling towers.
• Familiarity with data center infrastructure, thermal load management, and energy efficiency best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation and commissioning of HVAC and cooling systems (CRAC units, chillers, cooling towers) in data centers.
• Perform routine maintenance, calibrations, and repairs on HVAC systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues to minimize downtime.
• Monitor performance and analyze data to enhance energy efficiency and operational reliability.
• Provide expert advice on system optimization and cooling load management to clients.
