Job summary

Amazon Data Services Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. invites applications for the Data Center Engineering Operation (DCEO) program.

This 6-month assignment offers a pathway to a regular full-time role, with a fast-paced, 24/7 data center environment and opportunities to work on critical facility systems under expert mentorship. Ideal candidates are pursuing or have completed an engineering degree in electrical or mechanical disciplines, and possess strong communication skills in English and Malay.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of electrical, mechanical, HVAC or fire systems in critical facilities.
• Willing to work a 24x7 rotating shift roster or on-call basis.
• Expected graduation in 2027 or within past 24 months.
• Legally eligible to work in Malaysia.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Malay.

The Infrastructure Operations (Data Center) Team is the backbone of AWS, supporting the rapidly growing AWS business and customers 24/7. We are committed to maintain the physical infrastructure of AWS, ensuring the standards for operational performance in the areas of safety, security, availability, productivity, capacity, efficiency, and cost.

This is a 6-months assignment with opportunity to apply to the Regular full time position after.

Basic Qualifications

• Basic technical understanding of electrical, mechanical, HVAC or fire systems in critical facilities
• Willing to work in a 24 x 7 rotating shift roster, or oncall basis
• Expected graduation in 2027 or graduated within the past 24 months.
• Candidates must be able to legally work in Malaysia.
• Excellent communication skills in Malaysian and English, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or a relevant engineering discipline
• Foundational technical knowledge of critical facilities including electrical, mechanical and control systems, with strong eagerness to learn and grow in mission critical operations
