Job summary

DayOne is seeking an Assistant Cost Manager to support budgeting, cost control and contract administration for data centre construction projects in Malaysia. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work in a dynamic, global environment to minimize budget overruns and improve project profitability.

You will assist in estimating, monitoring, and reporting costs across the project lifecycle, aligning with client requirements and schedule.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying/Cost Engineering/Construction Management/Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years in cost control, QS, or project control.
• Experience with Malaysia/APAC projects.
• Proficiency with cost estimating tools (CostX/RSMeans/Primavera/Excel).

Responsibilities

• Assist in cost estimation and budgeting for data centre projects.
• Support cost analysis, control, and variance reviews.
• Assist with contract administration and change management.
• Prepare cost reports, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
