Job summary

Linesight is seeking a Cost Manager in Malaysia to lead cost management on varied client developments, including pre- and post-contract phases. You will prepare cost plans, valuations, and final accounts while ensuring value for clients and strong commercial governance.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, manage tender processes, and travel as needed to engage clients and partners. The role emphasizes relationship-building and transparent cost control in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in pre- and post-contract cost management.
• Degree in cost management, contract law, or construction discipline.
• Willingness to travel for short periods to meet clients and teams.
• Strong ability to build relationships with clients and team members.

Responsibilities

• Create estimates and cost plans for key client developments and support drafting contracts and variations.
• Support project management with cost documentation and timely communication.
• Participate in tender/bid processes from documentation through analysis and reporting.
• Oversee project spend with valuations and cost reports and communicate variations clearly.
• Assist in settlement of disputes/loss and expense claims with transparency.
• Resolve commercial, change order and contract issues quickly and fairly.
• Assist in preparation and agreement of final accounts and ensure client value.
