Job summary

Accenture PLC in Basel is seeking a Data and Finance Support to provide application support to diverse business users, address queries promptly, and ensure proper closure of requests. You will contribute to incident management, root-cause analysis, and smooth release transitions with the development team.

Ideal candidates have Banking/Finance IT experience, knowledge of GL, Basel standards, and proficiency in Unix/Windows, batch scheduling, and BI tools; ITIL-style practices are a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in a banking/finance IT environment with GL, regulatory reporting or BI usage.
• Proficient on Unix/Windows, batch scheduling, database queries and BI tools.
• Knowledge of Basel/Moodys OneSumX and Hyperion is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Provide application support to various business users. Attend to business queries and business requests promptly. Follow through the business requests to a proper closure

• Work on timely resolution for reported incidents so as to meet service level targets. Incidents include failures & queries reported by business users and technical staff; event alerts automatically detected and reported by event monitoring tool

• Perform root cause analysis to identify permanent solution so as to prevent recurring incidents and to minimize the impact of incidents that cannot be prevented

• Ensure all incidents and problems are proactively managed – Prioritizing numerous issues of varying severity and escape issues as appropriate to necessary teams and management

• Collaborate with the development team in identifying resolutions and transitioning of releases into production environment

• Adopt standard Incident and Problem Management workflow and processes, i.e. timely ticket, defect and incidents loggings including proper change management processes and quality issue/impacts emails

• Participate in DR/BCM activities or infrastructure related upgrade

• Responsible of capacity management. To monitor & analyze current performance and capacity data and forecast the capacity required by the applications ahead

• Aside from day-to-day support duties, there will be requirements to undertake other responsibilities such as management reporting & other centrally driven project initiatives as needed

Key Requirements

• Experience in application development and support environment in Banking Finance, Finance knowledge for GL, MAS, GST, Regulatory and Reporting/business intelligence

• Individual must have worked experience in Unix/Windows platforms, batch scheduling tools, Database query skills, BI Tools skillsets

Mandatory Technical skills

• BASEL, Moody's Risk Authority knowledge, Wolters Kluwer's OneSumX, Hyperion.

• SAP GL, Ray, Oracle / MS SQL, Unix/Linux, AS400, Control-M, Shell scripting

• Knowledge of Finance, Risk, Accounting, ITIL of similar framework will be advantage

Good to have

• Experience working in an ITIL-driven environment, with proven incident and problem management.

• Understanding of front to back operations, finance, risk and accounting will be added bonus
