Job summary

Aham Capital in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, invites a data analytics-oriented intern to assist in data collection, cleansing and preparation from diverse sources. You will help develop dashboards and reports using Tableau and Excel, and perform exploratory analysis to identify trends and insights.

You will contribute to building data models, predictive analytics, and machine learning prototypes under guidance, while supporting SQL queries and Python scripts for automated workflows and documentation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Strong interest in data analytics and BI decision making.
• Basic proficiency in Excel, SQL, and Python.
• Familiarity with Tableau, Power BI or similar tools is a plus.

Job description

• Assist in data collection, cleansing, validation, and preparation from various data sources.
• Support the development and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using tools such as Tableau and Excel.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis and perform basic statistical analysis to identify trends and insights.
• Assist in developing and testing data models, predictive analytics, and machine learning prototypes under guidance.
• Support the creation and maintenance of SQL queries, Python scripts, and automated workflows for data processing and reporting.
• Prepare and maintain documentation, including SOPs, workflows, data dictionaries, and project records.
• Ensure compliance with data governance, confidentiality, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with team members to gather requirements, communicate findings, and support analytics initiatives.
• Participate in team meetings, project discussions, and continuous improvement activities.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification.
• Strong interest in data analytics, business intelligence, and data-driven decision-making.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL, and Python.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms is an advantage.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets accurately.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Proactive, eager to learn, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
