Job summary

MR D.I.Y Trading Sdn Bhd is seeking a Data Analyst Executive (R&D - Analytic & Improvement) to tackle complex retail inventory, replenishment and allocation challenges across stores, SKUs, stock, sales and warehouse flow.

You will own analyses from data identification to recommendations, using SQL, Python/pandas, Excel and BI tools, and will present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or above in Data Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Engineering, Economics or related fields.
• Strong logical thinking, problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
• Foundation in SQL, Python/pandas and advanced Excel; experience with Power BI/Looker Studio or similar tools is an advantage.
• Able to work with large datasets, data cleaning, transformation, validation and reconciliation.
• Able to explain methodology, assumptions and findings to technical and non‑technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Analyse complex retail inventory, replenishment and allocation problems across stores, SKUs, stock, sales and warehouse flow.
• Own analyses from problem understanding and data validation through findings, recommendations and follow-up.
• Use SQL, Python/pandas, Excel and BI tools to process, analyze and visualize large datasets.
• Validate data and analytical results with cross-checks before informing decisions.
• Prepare clear reports and presentations for diverse audiences.
• Identify issues, ask questions, challenge assumptions and propose improvements.
• Leverage AI, automation and other tools to boost productivity while validating results.
