The position will be responsible for areas as designated by the Assistant Manager, Application Development – primarily focusing on analysing and validating data, creating reports and dashboards, performing trend analysis, supporting data integration, leveraging automation, visualisation, and AI-powered analytics tools to deliver actionable insights for strategic decision-making, supporting AI strategy, governance, and roadmap development, along with any other relevant tasks as assigned.
Responsibilities
1) Technical Skills and Knowledge
- Execute data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to support analytics initiatives.
- Design and develop interactive dashboards and visualizations using business intelligence (BI) tools.
- Collaborate with business units to deliver data-driven solutions and build insightful data models.
- Conduct statistical analysis and trend forecasting to inform strategic management decisions.
- Investigate, validate, and resolve data-related issues to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- Ensure data compliance with Data Governance, IT Audit, and Security requirements.
- Leverage AI analytics tools and contribute to the planning and execution of AI roadmaps and adoption initiatives across the University.
- Support the development and implementation of AI governance frameworks, policies, and best practices.
2) Policy and Planning
- Assist and support the Assistant Manager, Application Development to implement and ensure compliance with all the policies relating to Information Technology.
3) Documentation
- Develop and maintain various procedural and technical documents in areas such as data analysis.
- Develop and sustain relationships with application vendors by communicating and conducting regular reviews of status and issues.
5) Report
- Prepare and provide reports on the relevant information as and when needed by the Management.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field from a recognised institution, with at least three (3) years relevant work experience.
- Master’s degree holder in a relevant discipline can be considered.
- For Bachelor’s holders, at least three (3) years of relevant working experience in any two of the following domains:
- data insights, dashboard development, data extraction, data modelling, statistical analysis, data validation, or data governance compliance.
- Familiarity with AI and generative AI tools, including their application in data analysis, automation, decision support, and governance.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data and extract insights from complex datasets.
- Familiar in designing interactive dashboards and presenting insights through dashboard and visualisation tools.
- Ability to clearly communicate complex data insights to both technical professionals and non-technical audiences.
- Excellent interpersonal skills especially in a cross-cultural situation and demonstrated ability to work effectively in a consultative and team environment.
- Familiar in data query languages such as SQL, Python, or low-code platforms such as Power BI.
- Ability to abstract and build data models for analysis.
- Ability to detect, validate, reconcile, and troubleshoot data issues to maintain accuracy and integrity.
- Knowledge of hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and trend forecasting to support strategic decision-making.
- Ability to interpret and analyse structured data models and work collaboratively with machine learning specialists to enhance predictive insights.
