Job summary

Motorola Solutions in Bayan Lepas, Penang, Malaysia, seeks a cybersecurity test engineer to analyze requirements, design tests, and perform system integration tests for mission-critical software and hardware.

You will collaborate with front-end, hardware, and software teams to develop test tools, automate tests, and contribute to CI/CD and IaC testing using Python, JavaScript and related languages.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years working experience; fresh graduates welcome if strong technically
• Bachelor Degree in Information Science / Communication Engineering / Software Engineering or related fields
• Knowledge in Python, Javascript, Angular, C, C# or other scripting languages
• Knowledge in Android, IoT, WiFi, LTE, DMR, video is an added advantage
• Works under general supervision, self-motivated, able to integrate into cross-functional team
• Good English communication and interpersonal skills
• Customer focused and result oriented with strong analytical/problem-solving skills
• Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
• Willing to work in Bayan Lepas, Penang

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements, design specifications, and system topology; develop test procedures per cybersecurity specs
• Perform cybersecurity system integration tests of software and hardware
• Collaborate with front-end architects, hardware engineers, SW developers, and stakeholders
• Analyze, submit and manage defects
• Develop, enhance and maintain test tools for cybersecurity tests
• Leverage AI to develop customized tools for test scripts and product functionality
• Work on CI/CD pipeline testing and Infrastructure as Code testing
• Continuously evaluate and optimize automation processes for efficiency

Job Description

• Analyzes requirements, design specifications, system topology and develop test procedures based on cybersecurity requirements/ specification, maintain/update test procedures, for the organization’s products and systems.
• Performs cybersecurity system integration test of software and hardware to maintain throughput and program consistency.
• Collaborate with front-end architects, hardware engineers, SW development engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure optimal cybersecurity coverage
• Analyze, submit and manage defects.
• Develop, enhance, troubleshoot and maintain test tools that are needed for the cybersecurity tests
• Leverage advancements in AI and develop customized tools to optimize test cases /scripts development, testing, and product functionality.
• Work on continuous testing in CI/CD pipeline and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) testing.
• Continuously evaluate, study, identify opportunities and enhance the automation process for efficiency

Basic Requirements

• 1 - 2 years working experience. Fresh graduates / entry-level applicants with strong technical skills are welcome to apply.
• Bachelor Degree in Information Science / Communication Engineering / Software engineering or related fields
• Knowledge in Python, Javascript, Angular, C, C# or other languages used for scripting.
• Knowledge in Android, IoT, WiFI, LTE, DMR, video are added advantage
• Works under general supervision, self-motivated, able to work and integrate well into cross-functional team.
• Good English communication, interpersonal skill
