Job summary

Continental in Malaysia seeks an experienced Cybersecurity Specialist to lead reporting, analytics, and data management across the security function. You will design scalable reporting solutions, build data architectures, and automate collection and analysis to deliver actionable insights to management and executives.

You will develop dashboards in Power BI, implement data governance, and collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to translate security needs into scalable technical solutions.

Qualifications

• Academic degree in Cybersecurity or related field.
• Several years in cybersecurity reporting, analytics, BI or data engineering.
• Strong SQL with complex queries and performance optimization.
• Proficient Python for data analysis, automation and ETL.
• Power BI proficiency including DAX, modeling, visuals.
• Knowledge of APIs and cloud data services.

We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Specialist to drive cybersecurity reporting, analytics, and data management capabilities in Cybersecurity. The role is responsible for designing and maintaining reporting solutions, building scalable data architectures, automating data collection and analysis processes, and delivering actionable insights to management and executive stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade cybersecurity reporting and analytics solutions.
• Build and optimize data models, data pipelines, and reporting architectures to support cybersecurity operations and strategic decision-making.
• Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations using Power BI and related technologies.
• Design and implement automated data collection, transformation, and validation processes using Python, SQL, APIs, and scripting technologies.
• Integrate data from multiple cybersecurity platforms, tools, and data sources into a centralized reporting environment.
• Define and maintain cybersecurity KPIs, metrics, scorecards, and executive dashboards.
• Perform advanced data analysis to identify trends, risks, compliance gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams, IT, business stakeholders, and management to translate reporting requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Contribute to the development of data governance, data quality, and reporting standards within cybersecurity.
• Support strategic initiatives through data-driven insights and predictive analytics where applicable.

Technical Skills & Experience

• Academic degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of professional experience in cybersecurity reporting, data analytics, business intelligence, data engineering, or related technical disciplines.
• Expert-level SQL skills, including complex query development, performance optimization, data modeling, and database design.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python for data analysis, automation, scripting, ETL processes, and data engineering.
• Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including semantic modeling, DAX, Power Query, dashboard development, and data visualization.
• Experience designing and maintaining scalable data architectures and reporting platforms.
• Strong knowledge of APIs, database technologies, cloud-based data services, and data integration frameworks.
• Experience developing cybersecurity KPIs, management reporting, executive dashboards, and board-level presentations.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, risk management, and security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls, or NIS2.
• Experience with automation, reporting optimization, and large-scale data processing.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure data services, Microsoft Fabric, or comparable modern data platforms is an advantage.
