Job summary

The OT Security Operations Engineer at THUNDER SOFTWARE TECHNOLOGY MALAYSIA SDN. BHD.

is responsible for protecting the company's OT environment, including manufacturing systems and industrial networks, and coordinating with global security and plant teams to maintain secure operations. Key duties include monitoring OT security alerts (Nozomi and SIEM), investigating incidents, coordinating response, maintaining asset visibility, and ensuring compliance with OT policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant cybersecurity experience.
• Experience in OT / ICS / industrial cybersecurity is highly preferred.
• Hands-on experience in security monitoring and incident investigation.
• Familiarity with Nozomi, SIEM, and OT network security.
• Good understanding of OT risk and vulnerability management.

Responsibilities

• Monitor OT security alerts generated by Nozomi and other platforms.
• Investigate OT-related cybersecurity events and anomalies.
• Coordinate incident response activities involving manufacturing systems and OT assets.
• Escalate significant incidents to Global Information Security teams.
• Support threat detection activities affecting plant operations.
• Administer and support Nozomi OT Security Monitoring, SIEM visibility, investigations, and OT detection/alert setup.
• Maintain OT asset visibility and inventory.
• Assess cybersecurity risks associated with OT systems and vulnerability management.
• Ensure adherence to OT security policies and standards.

Job description

The OT Security Operations Engineer is responsible for protecting the company's Operational Technology (OT) environment, including manufacturing systems, industrial networks, connected equipment, OT infrastructure, and supporting cybersecurity technologies. The role serves as the primary cybersecurity resource for the Malaysia manufacturing site and collaborates with Global Information Security, Manufacturing Engineering, Automation, Infrastructure, and Quality teams to maintain a secure and compliant OT environment.

Key responsibilities

Monitor OT security alerts generated by Nozomi and other security monitoring platforms.

Investigate OT-related cybersecurity events and anomalies.

Coordinate incident response activities involving manufacturing systems and OT assets.

Escalate significant incidents to Global Information Security teams.

Support threat detection activities affecting plant operations.

Administer and support Nozomi OT Security Monitoring, SIEM security visibility and investigations, and OT related detection, correlation and alert setup.

Maintain OT asset visibility and inventory.

Assess cybersecurity risks associated with OT systems and vulnerability management.

Ensure adherence to company OT security policies and standards.

Qualifications
