Job summary

LOGISTEED Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Specialist to join its IT security team in Malaysia.

You will act as the first responder for incidents across LSAP and overseas branches, monitor alerts from SOC, EDR, and email security, and assist in deploying tools like Tanium Asset Management and Net LineDancer. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Cybersecurity, IT Security, SOC, or IT Operations with security exposure.
• Strong understanding of ISO/IEC 27001, NIST CSF, and CIS Controls.
• Hands-on experience with security incident response and alert handling.
• Experience with AWS cloud environments preferred but not mandatory.
• Exposure to regional or overseas IT environments is required.
• Willingness to support during office hours with readiness for on-call handling.
• Experience in logistics or SCM IT knowledge is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first responder for cybersecurity alerts and incidents across LSAP and overseas subsidiaries.
• Monitor, triage, and investigate security alerts from SOC tools, EDR, email security, and threat-intelligence platforms.
• Support deployment and operational use of cybersecurity tools including Tanium Asset Management and network security platforms.
• Perform initial severity assessments, first-level containment, and escalate incidents to HQ or regional teams.
• Coordinate incident response activities for cyber incidents, outages, and security events involving overseas locations.
• Monitor external threats using CTEM platforms and support digital risk protection activities such as phishing and brand misuse detection.
• Support vulnerability management activities including VAPT coordination, remediation tracking, and reporting.
• Provide operational support for endpoint, network, email, and identity security solutions.
• Act as a liaison between Regional IT, HO/Japan ICT teams, and overseas subsidiaries.
• Prepare incident reports, SOPs, operational documentation, and regular security status updates.

• Monitor, triage, and investigate security alerts from SOC tools, EDR, email security, and threat-intelligence platforms.


• Support the deployment, onboarding, and operational use of cybersecurity tools, including Tanium Asset Management and network security platforms (e.g. NLD – Net LineDancer).


• Perform initial severity assessments, first-level containment, and escalates incidents to HQ or regional teams when required.


• Coordinate incident response activities for cyber incidents, outages, and security events involving overseas locations.


• Monitor external threats using CTEM platforms and support digital risk protection activities such as phishing and brand misuse detection.


• Support vulnerability management activities, including VAPT coordination, vulnerability assessment reviews, remediation tracking, and reporting.


• Provide operational support for endpoint, network, email, and identity security solutions.

Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree (preferred: Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or equivalent).


• Minimum 5 years of experience in Cybersecurity, IT Security, SOC, or IT Operations with security exposure.


• Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and standards such as ISO/IEC 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and CIS Critical Security Controls.


• Hands-on experience in security incident response, alert handling, and endpoint, email, or network security tools.


• Relevant certifications (e.g. Security+, CEH, GCIH, GCIA, or equivalent) are an advantage but not mandatory.


• Experience with AWS cloud environments is preferred but not mandatory.


• Exposure to regional or overseas IT environments is required.


• Willingness to support during office hours with readiness for on-call or urgent incident handling when necessary.


• Strong analytical, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.


• Comfortable working with cross-border teams and following structured escalation processes.


• A proactive team player with mentoring or leadership qualities.


• Experience in the logistics industry, with IT knowledge related to logistics and supply chain management (SCM), is an advantage.
