Job summary

TMC Metal (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Customer Service cum Machine Operator to support scrap collection, sorting, and processing at Batu Berendam, Melaka, with light admin duties like preparing shipping documents.

You will gain hands-on exposure in a fast-paced semiconductor environment while coordinating with Finance, Security, and Logistics teams.

Qualifications

• SPM or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical required.
• Forklift license is an added advantage.
• Good communication skills to liaise with Finance, Security and Logistics teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily or bi‑weekly collection of scrap materials from manufacturing lines.
• Sort scrap into different size and type (large vs small).
• Operate Mobile Crusher Machine for crushing.
• Operate Sandblast Machines to erase patterns on wafers.
• Weigh and seal materials, label, padlock and secure drums and bags.
• Conduct basic maintenance and quick repairs on equipment.
• Generate documentation including dispatch/shipping documents.
• Coordinate trucking schedules and access for scrap room and witnesses.

Job description

Customer Service cum Machine Operator to support scrap collection, sorting, and processing operations at a global semiconductor manufacturing client's site in Batu Berendam, Melaka, along with light administrative duties such as preparing shipping documentation and reporting to management. This role offers valuable hands‑on exposure to a fast-paced semiconductor manufacturing environment.

Operator Duties

• Collection & Security: Perform daily or bi-weekly collection of reject materials (ICs, wafers, and non-ICs) from manufacturing lines


• Sort scrap into different size and type (e.g., large vs. small).


• Operate Mobile Crusher Machine for crushing


• Operate Sandblast Machines to erase patterns on wafers.


• Weighing & Sealing: Conduct weighing of materials for all drums and toner bags and make sure they are properly labeled, padlocked, and sealed.


• Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance and immediate repairs on equipment

2. Customer Service Duties

• Documentation: Generate all necessary documentation, including dispatch/shipping documents.


• Coordination: Manage trucking schedules and coordinate with client's Security for scrap room access and witness requirements.

About you
