Job summary

ADA is seeking an intern in Kuala Lumpur to support event planning, marketing coordination, and administrative tasks. You will work across practice teams, coordinate with vendors, and assist in reporting and tracking of initiatives.

The role focuses on gaining exposure to events, marketing execution, and cross-functional collaboration, with responsibilities spanning planning, logistics, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and PowerPoint).
• Interest in marketing, events, and business strategy.

Responsibilities

• Assist in organizing and executing practice-specific events from planning to post-event reporting.
• Coordinate with internal teams and vendors for event logistics, materials, and branding.
• Support on-ground event management including setup, registration, and stakeholder coordination.
• Maintain and update event trackers and ensure timely communication across teams.
• Help execute marketing plans tailored to specific practices with internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to development of promotional materials and event assets.
• Research industry trends and best practices to support event ideas.
• Draft and raise POs and BCs for events and marketing purchases.
• Assist with data entry, document filing, and approval workflows.
• Support in compiling reports, post-event feedback, and performance summaries.

Requirement

Event Planning & Execution Support

• Assist in organizing and executing practice-specific events from planning to post-event reporting.

• Draft and raise Purchase Orders (POs) and Business Cases (BCs) for events and marketing-related purchases.
• Assist with data entry, document filing, and coordination of approval workflows.
• Support in compiling reports, post-event feedback, and performance summaries.
• Maintain accurate records in trackers and folders for all event-related materials.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Liaise with design, finance, and practice teams to ensure smooth execution of initiatives.
• Participate in regular team check-ins, brainstorms, and project planning sessions.
• Learn the dynamics of internal collaboration and project alignment across departments.

Skillset

• Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and willing to learn.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
• Interest in marketing, events, and business strategy.
