Job summary

CACEIS Malaysia, a leading asset servicing hub in IOI City, Putrajaya, seeks an experienced Manager to lead the Corporate Action back office. You will drive timely processing of events, manage risk, and develop a high‑performing team within a global custody environment.

Reporting to Senior Management of Custody Malaysia, you will mentor staff, ensure quality BAU deliverables, coordinate with European stakeholders, and continuously improve procedures.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding in Corporate Action and/or Income of different markets
• Good command in English – ability to speak, write, converse with European stakeholders
• At least 5 years of experience working in Custody back office or Middle Office asset servicing operations
• Knowledge to comprehend SWIFT messages
• Experience in managing end to end process of Corporate Action or Income
• Extensive experience in leading a team of 5 or more

Responsibilities

• Lead the team in ensuring clients are provided with timely, accurate, and efficient processing of all Corporate Action events and associated daily entries. The team must ensure the client/investor is notified and/or paid correctly & timely.
• Deliver on operational effectiveness by managing the performance of the team against goals and providing continuous improvement ideas.
• Manage risks by proactively identifying potential issues and mitigating them; strive for satisfactory audit results and train team continuously on accurate operational procedures.
• Build a high performance team by hiring, training and developing them to deliver on overall operational goals; provide ongoing feedback and conduct formal performance reviews on a semi-annual basis; ensure Business Recovery Planning is conducted and tested on a regular basis.
• Provide strong leadership through promotion of values, communicating high quality standards and developing yourself against the leadership model. Leading by example, you are expected to meet all deliverables as requested by the senior management.
• Management of resources to ensure that all daily task are completed to ensure high quality of BAU deliverables are met within the deadlines.
• Leverage operational data in driving business decisions and team performance; ensure client inquiries are responded to in a timely manner; build relationships with global partners; maintain up-to-date operating procedures.
