Job summary

EdgeConneX, a global data center provider, is seeking a Critical Systems Coordinator based in Cyberjaya to manage preventive and corrective maintenance across our data centers. You will coordinate with vendors and operations managers to ensure timely maintenance and document all activities in CMMS.

The role requires 1-3 years in maintenance planning, plus 1+ year in a data center environment. A Diploma or higher is expected, with preferred certifications in data centers or project management.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in a maintenance planner/administrator role, preferably in the manufacturing sector.
• 1+ year of experience working within a Data Center environment is preferred.
• A Diploma or higher.
• Certification or training related to Data Centers, or Project Management fields preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule preventative and corrective maintenance using CMMS and coordinate with vendors and operations leaders.
• Develop and update maintenance plans with moratorium periods.
• Manage tickets and documentation related to PM/MOP and customer/vendor requests.
• Coordinate internal and external resources, including people, materials and equipment.
• Support the Facilities/Operations team in investigating events and recurring issues.
• Be available for after-hours on-call rotation and to dispatch maintenance crews when needed.

The Critical Systems Coordinator will be responsible for managing the process of scheduling preventive and corrective maintenance with all critical systems vendors that are contracted to support our data centers. This includes working directly with our vendors as well as the data center operations managers and directors. The Critical Systems Coordinator is responsible for the maintenance plans for all data centers and should be able to bring together all the resources needed to complete maintenance tasks including assembling and coordinating information, people, materials, and equipment necessary to get the job done. Responsibility will include scheduling preventative maintenance by clarifying information and doing research into the industry best practices. The Critical Systems Coordinator will help support facilities by investigating possible causes of an event and investigate any recurring issues. Responsibilities shall also include responding to maintenance request emails, scheduling repairs and dispatching maintenance crew, and entering and closing CMMS work orders.

This position is based in Cyberjaya.

Primary Responsibilities

• Use CMMS to schedule and track preventative or corrective maintenance


• Create and edit maintenance plans accordingly with moratorium periods


• Utilize systems/tools provided to manage and monitor customer, vendor, and PM/MOP tickets


• Manage vendor relationships and conduct training


• Update all equipment and systems in CMMS


• Write and maintain Method of Procedures (MOP) supporting preventive and corrective maintenance


• Work with and manage internal and external clients


• Perform additional duties while adhering to processes, policies, and standards


• Create and provide documentation as needed by Management


• Availability to work additional hours as needed

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Willingness to communicate and work in a team environment while maintaining the ability to be self-driven


• Understand and implement industry best practices, techniques, and standards


• Strong knowledge and understanding of critical environments within the Data Center is a plus


• Proficient knowledge of Windows operating system and Microsoft programs such as Excel, Word, and Outlook


• Excellent written and oral communication


• Ability to work in an environment that operates 24/7 with an ability to participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours


• Support the Critical Services / Operations team as needed


• Ability to lift up to 20 kg and/or work in elevated locations


• Ability to learn quickly and address issues as they arise on all shifts


• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects

Experience/Education

• 1-3 years of experience in a maintenance planner / administrator role, preferably in the manufacturing sector


• 1+ year of experience working within a Data Center environment is preferred
