Job summary

Vantage is seeking a facilities engineer to operate and maintain critical infrastructure in a data-center style environment in Malaysia. You will manage 33 kV high‑voltage systems, transformers, generators, UPS, BMS/DCIM, and cooling equipment to ensure maximum uptime.

This role requires 2+ years in critical facilities or data centers, HV switching, PTW/LOTO, and strong documentation. You will participate in on‑call rotations, incident response, and continuous improvement while adhering to

Qualifications

• Valid Chargeman B0 (33kV) Certificate of Competency issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga Malaysia.
• Minimum 2 years in critical facility operations, data centers, utilities, or similar with HV exposure.
• Strong knowledge of 33 kV switchgear (AIS/GIS), power transformers, protection relays and standby generators.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, maintain 33 kV electrical installations and related systems to maximize uptime.
• Perform 33 kV switching, isolation, energization, shutdown and transfer per PTW/LOTO and safety rules.
• Monitor critical facility infrastructure, HVAC, pumps, BMS/DCIM, and environmental conditions.
• Inspect, monitor, and perform preventive maintenance for reliability and compliance.
• Respond to alarms and abnormalities; troubleshoot and recover with minimal service impact.
• Support 24x7 operations, on-call rotations, and planned maintenance events.
• Coordinate contractors and vendors for maintenance, testing, and projects per safety requirements.
• Maintain accurate docs including single-line diagrams, schedules, SOPs, and incident reports.
• Participate in RCA, investigations, and continuous improvement.
• Assist in commissioning, testing, and capacity upgrades while preserving business continuity.
