Malaysian Bar in Sungai Petani, Kedah, Malaysia is seeking a young lawyer to join our criminal and civil litigation practice. The successful candidate will represent clients in court, draft pleadings, and assist in legal research under supervision.

Fresh graduates called to the Bar are welcome; ability to work independently and meet deadlines is essential. Weekend/public holiday remand appearances may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Law with qualified certificate or equivalent.
• Fresh graduates called to the Bar welcome to apply.
• Ability to work independently (not for Pupil position).

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in court proceedings, including remand, mention, hearing, trial and appeal.
• Drafting cause papers for civil and criminal litigation
• Assist in conducting legal research
• Attend client, correspondence and other legal work assigned by our firm
• Available to attend remand proceedings during weekends/public holidays
