Job summary

Hong Leong Bank is seeking a Credit Evaluation Manager to oversee credit risk across its corporate and commercial loan portfolio. You will lead and coach credit and marketing personnel, maintain strong governance, and balance risk with reward while ensuring efficient delivery.

You will evaluate ESG considerations during onboarding and annual reviews, review credit applications, and guide business units to improve underwriting quality.

Qualifications

• Degree holder in Accounting/Finance/Economics, 4+ years of relevant credit and marketing skills supported by experienced business acumen.
• CCP Accredited credential is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and approve credit within discretionary powers and SLA.
• Oversee banks’ credit policies, procedures, and controls across credit risks.
• Manage credit risks to minimize deterioration to impaired High risk and IL.
• Review accuracy of mandate input fields in credit applications.
• Provide guidance to business units to improve credit quality and underwriting skills.
• Evaluate ESG assessments during onboarding and annual reviews; approve ESG ratings.
