Job summary

Westcon-Comstor in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Credit Controller for Asia to manage full sets of accounts, including GL and AP, and support month-end closing and statutory reporting.

You will handle intercompany payments, invoicing and follow up on disputed invoices to ensure timely resolutions, while supporting management reporting and audits. The role requires an accounting degree, strong analytical/interpersonal skills, and MS Office proficiency; SAP/Hyperion familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Accounting with relevant experience (3–5 yrs).

Responsibilities

• Maintain full sets of accounts incl. GL and AP; perform month-end close and reporting.

• Update aging report monthly and perform reconciliations.
• Support management reporting and audit activities.
• Coordinate with auditors/government authorities on statutory matters.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for full sets of accounts which includes GL and AP, month-end closing activities and associated reporting.
• Intercompany payments and invoicing
• Follow up closely all the disputed invoices and ensure the issue resolve
• Follow up with appropriate parties to ensure timely payments for approved supplier invoices
• Update Aging report monthly
• Perform reconciliations
• Be engaged in management reporting
• Liaise with external auditors/government authorities on audit, tax, accounting and statuory issues
• Any ad-hoc duties as assigned

Qualifications / Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting with at least 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience
• Be meticulous and responsible
• Have strong analytical, interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
• Conscientious, pro-active, and with positive attitude
• A team player and be comfortable working in a very dynamic and fast pace environment
• Eye for details and deadline driven
• Be proficient in MS Office applications
• Familiarity with SAP and Hyperion will be advantageous
