Job summary

Mitsubishi Elevator Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking an Assistant Manager / Manager - Credit Control to lead credit control and AR activities in a construction and engineering environment. Based in Petaling Jaya, this on-site role collaborates with Project, Sales, Maintenance, Quantity Surveying and Finance teams to improve cash flow and reduce risk.

The role demands a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance, 7–10 years in credit control or AR, and strong leadership, communication, and ERP system

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent.
• Experience leading a Credit Control or Accounts Receivable team (7-10 years).
• Experience in construction/engineering sector advantageous.
• Able to assess new customers and set credit terms.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead credit control and AR portfolio, monitor ageing and overdue balances.
• Drive timely collection through targeted strategies.
• Improve collection performance with forecasts and monthly targets.
• Manage project collections, including progress claims and payment schedules.
• Coordinate billing with Project, Maintenance, Sales, QS and Finance teams.
• Assess customer credit risk and set limits/terms.
• Coordinate debt recovery with external solicitors when needed.
• Strengthen governance, policy compliance and KPI reporting.
• Lead, develop and coach the AR/Credit Control team.
