Job summary

Talent Recruit is hiring a Culinary Maestro of Hot Cuisine Chef in Ipoh, Malaysia. Basic up to RM15,000, with RM10,000–RM15,000 per month. Accommodation allowance provided for outstation candidates. You will lead a centralized kitchen, design menus, and ensure top-notch quality and presentation.

The role requires proven Head Chef experience, culinary degree, strong leadership, and strict food-safety knowledge. You will manage staff, control costs, and travel between Selangor and Ipoh as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Head Chef or Executive Chef in a large or centralized kitchen.
• Culinary degree or equivalent professional training.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and central kitchen practices.
• Willingness to travel between Selangor and Ipoh with own transport.

Responsibilities

• Innovate and create new menu items, specials, and seasonal dishes.
• Oversee daily kitchen operations, including preparation, cooking, and plating.
• Manage kitchen staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluations.
• Maintain inventory, order supplies, and manage food costs to meet targets.
• Ensure all dishes adhere to restaurant standards for taste, texture, and presentation.
• Conduct tastings and inspections to uphold quality and safety.
• Ensure compliance with all food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
• Implement and oversee health and safety policies and procedures.
• Engage with customers to gather feedback and implement improvements.
• Address customer complaints promptly and professionally.
