Job summary

Rock Maestro Sdn Bhd seeks a talented Creative Designer to join our design team in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. You will develop innovative visuals for digital and print, ensuring brand consistency and effective messaging across platforms.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Communication Design or related field.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating design capabilities and versatility.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and related tools.
• Solid grasp of design principles, colour theory, typography and layout.
• Excellent visual communication and ability to convey ideas clearly.
• Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise workload.

About the role

Rock Maestro Sdn Bhd is seeking a talented Creative Designer to join our dynamic design team. This is a full-time position based in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. As a Creative Designer, you will be responsible for developing innovative visual concepts and designs that communicate our brand message effectively across multiple platforms. This role is central to our marketing and communications strategy, enabling us to create compelling visual content that resonates with our target audience and drives business growth.

What you'll be doing

Conceptualising and creating engaging visual designs for digital and print materials, including social media graphics, marketing collateral, advertisements and promotional content

Collaborating with marketing and communications teams to understand project requirements and translate them into compelling visual solutions

Developing and maintaining brand consistency across all design outputs, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines and style standards

Creating mockups, prototypes and presentations to present design concepts to stakeholders and clients

Selecting appropriate imagery, typography, colours and layouts to achieve desired aesthetic and communication goals

Incorporating client feedback and revisions into designs in a timely and professional manner

Staying current with design trends, software updates and industry best practices to maintain competitive edge

Managing multiple projects simultaneously whilst meeting agreed deadlines and quality standards

What we're looking for

Diploma or degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Communication Design or a related field

Proven experience in graphic design with a strong portfolio demonstrating your design capabilities and creative versatility

Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant design tools

Strong understanding of design principles, colour theory, typography and layout composition

Excellent visual communication skills with the ability to translate ideas into compelling visual narratives

Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work

Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams

Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise workload effectively

Knowledge of digital design trends and social media design best practices is advantageous

Experience with video editing, animation or web design would be beneficial
