Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a seasoned cost accountant to drive accuracy and efficiency in our financial operations. You will analyse costs, prepare reports, and support budgeting and variance analysis across manufacturing processes.

Collaborating with the finance team and cross-functional groups, you will implement cost accounting systems, ensure accurate cost allocation, and contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual statements while supporting regulatory reporting.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of cost accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Proficient in accounting software, spreadsheets, and data analysis tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with numerical data.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of cost accounting principles, budgeting, and variance analysis.
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse cost reports, budgets, and variance analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities and areas for improvement.
• Assist in the development and implementation of cost accounting systems and procedures.
• Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate recording and allocation of costs.
• Participate in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Provide support in the preparation of regulatory and compliance reports.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of cost accounting activities.
• Assist in the analysis of production data and the calculation of standard costs.
