Job summary

Carlsberg Malaysia Berhad, part of the global Carlsberg Group, seeks an experienced Assistant Manager, Corporate Reporting to lead timely financial close, consolidate group results, and ensure compliance with MFRS, Bursa Malaysia, and regulatory requirements. You will provide insights, support the Audit Committee, and drive process improvements.

The role requires 5+ years in accounting/finance, strong English, and advanced Excel skills; Mandarin is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline with a professional accounting qualification.
• Membership with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) or recognised body in Malaysia.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, Corporate Reporting, or related field.
• Experience in financial audit, forecasting, and Bursa Malaysia reporting is an added advantage.
• Strong command of written and spoken English; Mandarin an added advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities for timely and accurate reporting.
• Prepare management reports, group consolidated financial statements, statutory financial statements, and Bursa Malaysia quarterly reporting.
• Analyse financial results, trends, and variances; provide insights for decision-making.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations; investigate outstanding items and resolve differences.
• Support preparation of financial analyses, reports, and materials for Audit Committee and Board.
• Ensure compliance with MFRS, Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements, statutory regulations, and Group policies.
• Coordinate external audit activities; prepare audit schedules and respond to queries.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to provide accounting guidance and reporting requirements.
• Drive compliance with the Control Framework for Financial Reporting (CFFR) and participate in inventory counts.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting, consolidation, closing processes, system enhancements, and automation.
