Job summary

Bell Ward Malaysia is seeking an Assistant Manager, Group Financial Reporting to deliver reliable financial reporting, ensure regulatory compliance, and support strategic decision-making across the group.

You will oversee the end-to-end close, consolidate financial information, prepare Bursa Malaysia quarterly reports, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to drive continuous improvements in finance operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field.
• CFA or CPA/ACCA qualified.
• Min 5-6 years of corporate reporting experience.
• Exposure to Bursa Malaysia reporting and audits is an added advantage.
• Experience engaging with senior leadership to influence decisions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end financial close cycle and ensure timely reporting.
• Produce consolidated financial information and Bursa Malaysia quarterly reports.
• Identify key drivers and movements to evaluate financial performance.
• Ensure adherence to accounting standards, governance, and regulatory obligations.
• Strengthen controls by resolving discrepancies and supporting risk management.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and respond to information requests.

Our clients, a prominent leader in Consumer industry, is currently seeking for Assistant Manager, Group Financial Reporting, responsible for delivering reliable financial reporting, ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting strategic decision-making, and driving continuous improvements in finance operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the end-to-end financial close cycle and ensure all reporting deliverables are completed accurately and within deadlines.
• Produce consolidated financial information, statutory submissions, Bursa Malaysia quarterly reporting and corporate reports required for regulatory and internal stakeholders.
• Evaluate financial performance by identifying key movements, business drivers, and areas requiring management attention.
• Maintain adherence to applicable accounting standards, governance requirements, and regulatory obligations.
• Strengthen financial controls by monitoring account integrity, resolving discrepancies, and supporting risk management initiatives.
• Facilitate audit engagements by coordinating documentation, addressing information requests, and following up on audit outcomes.
• Collaborate with business units to provide technical accounting support and ensure consistent application of reporting practices.
• Champion operational excellence by streamlining reporting workflows, leveraging technology, and enhancing finance processes.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field
• CFA or CPA/ACCA qualified
• Min 5-6 years of working experience within Corporate Reporting
• Exposure to financial audit, forecasting processes, and Bursa Malaysia reporting requirements will be an added advantage.
• Experience working with senior leadership and influencing decision-making
