Qualifications

• LL.B and admission as Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya.
• 3–5 years PQE in corporate, commercial or regulatory compliance.
• Knowledge of Companies Act 2016, the PDPA, and OSHA 1994; familiarity with Malaysian licensing/regulatory regimes.
• Excellent drafting and research skills with a business-first mindset.
• Strong command of English; other languages a bonus.
• Ability to manage multiple files with clear prioritisation and communication.
• Tech-savvy and process-oriented (Microsoft 365, SharePoint/Teams, templates/automation).
• Proactive, accountable and aligned with our mission to help clients succeed safely and simply.

Responsibilities

• Support corporate and commercial due diligence – review records, contracts, licenses and compliance positions; report findings clearly and commercially.
• Draft and review commercial and corporate agreements.
• Provide corporate advisory for local entities and foreign subsidiaries, including governance documents.
• Advise on regulatory compliance, focusing on PDPA and cross-border data transfers for foreign subsidiaries in Malaysia.
• Assist with OSHA compliance under OSHA 1994.
• Handle licensing/regulatory applications; liaise with authorities to completion.
• Prepare concise legal memoranda, compliance manuals and client briefings.
• Coordinate with clients, regulators and service providers to keep matters moving.
• Assist partners in business development activities.
